Cookies, and the short list of them.

This page is short because the list is short. We would rather explain four things properly than publish a table of ninety vendors that nobody reads.

What we store without asking

Two things, both of which the site cannot work without.

• Your language choice. It is in the address of every page (/nl or /en), so there is nothing to store for it at all.
• Where you came from. If you arrive through an ad or a search, those parameters are held in your browser for the duration of the tab, so that the request form still knows about it. It disappears when you close the tab, it is never sent along with other requests, and it only reaches us if you fill in the form and give permission for it.
• Your cookie choice. Once you have chosen, we remember it in your browser so that we do not ask again.
• An unfinished questionnaire. If you stop halfway, your answers stay in your own browser for seven days so you can pick up where you left off. They do not reach us until you send them.

What we only do with permission

Measuring which pages people find useful. That is the only non-essential thing on this site, and it does not run until you allow it. Decline and nothing is loaded — not a script, not a cookie, not a request to a third party.

What we do not do

We do not sell data, we do not build advertising profiles across other websites, and we do not place trackers from social networks. If that changes, this page changes first and we ask again.

Your answers are something else

The questionnaire answers are health data and have nothing to do with cookies: they are stored in our own database in Europe and are kept for 90 days after a physician's decision, or 30 days if the scan turns out not to fit your situation. The privacy statement explains that in full.

The retention period follows from the licence. Until that answer is final, the figures above are the ones we currently apply and they are kept in one place, not typed into this text.
